I've seen some guys on RC Dagger Web replace the stock shocks with a solid shock to lock the front suspension and design a 4-link for improved articulation.

Well I decided to change back to the stock shocks pretty much for geometric strength and a lower center of gravity. My truck is lower now but I've got it set on the 'higher' setting so it still flips pretty easily at 3/4 speed.
I'll probably move to the lower shock mount for even better handling. I was wrong before, this thing is very far from slow. It flat out friggin books! Now I'm really excited to rebuild my Golden Arrow to race against it
ThunderTech Racing makes an adjustable motor mount for the Blackfoot (and all Wild Daggers) so that you can gear it down for improved torque. I think the pinion is 18T 48P metric, not 100%, check TowerHobbies under Twin Detonator.
You know, I bought one of those Speedy Cobra Tamiya knock-off trucks from eBay, and for $60 it rips!!! It's waay too fast for my son to drive it, but dad has fun Unfortunately, it doesn't have much torque and crawls like crap. It's got the lowest gearing without extreme modifications. Maybe next year I'll buy a dual motor Twin Detonator.
