here's my new thread on my clod build, Deadpool, things done so far, clod to maxx adapters, tmaxx rims, modified nb tires with siped raptor claw cut, TTR axles, full droop suspension, MG945 servo, 8t pinoins on integy 55t's (we'll see if these pack enough punch, if not, 65 or 75t), moped esc, futaba radio rec, m&l chassis with a carbon fibre wrap, m&l lockers, LR3 body.

Here is a pic of what i am doing right now, going to wire in the rec and esc, just trying to figure out where i want them, i am not going to put the batteries on the axles as i need some chassis weight for the droop to work properly, so the battery will go on the lower chassis tray, any ideas for the moped and rec? i have them on the top chassis plate right now, they arent heavy components, but still any weight up there is not wanted. i was thinking maybe on the axles, but i really dont want elex to get bashed up, i dont know, see what you guys can come up with!

ok, just threw in the novak 610 so i could try out the clod... running on 9.6v 55t's are very powerful, but just TOO FAST, i will keep an eye open for 75t's if the 7.2v and moped dont slow it down enough. the nb tires are absolute garbage and arent grabbing anything, the servo rules and is ultra powerful, the full droop has to go though, its just too accordian like, im going to change to around 50% droop, for a good mix. the power was fantastic, i tried to climb stairs but the tires and the unloading of the shocks made it just spin, but with the right tires i feel it will be able to climb huge ledges!

plugged in my moped, set it up, used my new 3800 mah batteries, threw a stick pack on my front top links and a stick pack on my rear top links, so if wired them together i would get a 7600 mah! lol i wont do that but it is working pretty sweet, i will take pics tomorrow when i crawl a bit and show you the capabilities even with shi tty tires... il keep you informed!

it was fun, didnt get a chance to take any pics, the tires STINK, and now i have to wait for the mashers to get here, yes, i got maxx mashers, i could climb stairs on the right angle, but it was just the tires making it so i couldnt take a stair head on easily like that... couldnt put the batteries on the axles as they are pretty large packs, i would have to take them apart and solder them into 3 cell packs on each side of the axle, too much work!

also the 55t's are too fast :/ gotta get some 75's

threw on the shocks, and threw on the new rims and tires, the 40 series are some serious hugeness guys, i am really liking the compression compared to droop, since my chassis wasnt designed for droop it really didnt work as well, anyways, next is getting the body to sit on there right! i will have pics as soon as i can peace!
