COME ON SNOW......... finally got the electronics installed... mounted the esc so it sits on the chassis bed to try and dissipate some heat as I am going to run a small cover over it...... like there will be much heat up here in Dec. ( ha )

I thought that the WK was a blast,,,, these things should be outlawed Big Grin

have a 35t lathe on order.. will run the stock for a bit then try the other..

was reading another forum - someone running a 35t with a 19 pinion and having a good time Smile

too bad NB doesn't come out with something for the snow ?

Was down to wallymart and noticed that the 1/6 stuff was not selling ( maybe after Christmas )

Hey Gumbi.......

don't know if you still come down here Smile - -

any thoughts on what was in that "blizzard" that you posted a vid link to......

I have run mine inside, and can't imagine what is in there to get that speed ?? - if I wasn't able to see inside the cab i would swear it was nitro - but I see no signs of a motor in that cab ....

just wondering as you have one as well - maybe brushless ??

phatchantz, That rc is stock. Mine runs just like it and mine is all stock. I saw a post of a nitro blizzard. I think the nitro one is only good if you want to go fast all the time. And running nitro engines in the winter is a little tricky. Only got to run mine a few times last winter, hoping to have more time this this year.

Another type on snow RC's are the snowmobiles. NB sold them a while back. I tried one of them. It was kinda slow and got stuck in soft snow. There are hobby grade versions, electric and nitro. A some people have converted the toy grade ones to hobby grade.

Got any pictures?

you know, I have one of them in the basement somewhere... never thought to convert it to "hobby" grade.. heck now I have enough extra stuff around - I think that I will have a go..

( after the blizzard is done Big Grin )

mine sucked on anything but FIRM snow.. on the soft stuff it would just dig in, and then you could hear the belt clicking ( slipping )

"come on SNOW"

thanks for another idea Smile

Just got about a foot of snow. And I have time off work. I get to play with my Blizzard.
The backyard looks so pristine now, but not for long Smile

One day, someone showed me a glass of water that was half full. And he said, "Is it half full or half empty?" So I drank the water. No more problem. ~Alexander Jodorowsky.....
