I have not been in here in quite awhile, but cannot help but notice that things are kind of dead. I posted some axles on the forum, which in the past would have been on the third page of for sale items by the end of the first day, but three days after posting they are still on the first page? Why has everyone left?

Just Curious.

Point proven,
You posted this almost two days ago and Im the first to respond. It may just be the holidays or who knows what? I have noticed it too on how much things have slowed down since I first posted.

Me, I've been pretty busy with work. And, I have been focusing more on my music than wheelin' lately. Not that I plan to make a living at it. I know a few of us simply needed a break from the daily *routine*. Nothing wrong with RC's boards, it was just time for a break. Big Grin
BTW...you live just up the road from me, and I have a friend in Collinsville that wheels when he can squeeze in the time. Just look for the well used K5!

i used to be a monster, avid rockcrawler.com attender and i still have my rockcrawler.com sticker on my windshield. its just that there is a pyramid affect here. i didnt leave but i share other forums now. this place just isnt very informative and is full of a lot of people that dont know a whole lot about jeeps or wheeling in general. they are great people, but not really the crowd that im looking for. i give alot of advice here but there may be only about 5 others here that can give info and GOOD advice back. im dedicated to this site, but yes it is dead. not like it was a few yrs ago, esp with the so cal crowd..

When Mike first started Rockcrawler.com a few years back I was an active participant, right there from the start. Actually wheeled with him in Clayton, OK and Ft. Hood, TX.

However, life happened. A divorce and subsequent bankruptcy changed things for me a bit, the Jeeps disappeared. Then a career change into the trucking industry and the need for a vehicle wasn't a priority, so any old vehicle was sufficient, so long as it ran.

I've watched the Jeep scene for the past few years, even though I'm Jeepless. They get in your system. My new wife had shown an interest in the Liberty when the lease on her car ends. But after showing her the pictures of the new Wrangler, she has shown an interest in it. So hopefully within a couple of years we'll be driving around in a Jeep again.

I don't mind that it's a bit on the quiet side here. Other boards are a bit crowded and keeping up with all that is going on with a large, active group is more difficult especially if you're active on non-Jeep boards as well. A person only has so much available time.

So for me it all good. I'm glad to be back, even if my input is likely to be limited because I don't have a Jeep parked in the driveway.

I haven't been around here in almost a year. I left more because there are several active boards/clubs in my area that have great info on them. This place changed a year or so ago. Alot of the old faces left and posting went down. Anyone remember when Mike would post the top 5 posters of the month? I still lurk here, but haven't posted in a really long time.

I've been busy as all get-out. I got out of the Coast Guard in April and have been working at a Lexus deelership in Greenwich, CT. I'm getting married in March and hopefully in 2007, we'll be moving BACK to CA.

I've still got the TJ, but it doesn't get driven much. We just picked up the XJ a week ago. Been wheeling when I can, working on my junk when it breaks and working my life away...

Yikes. Where are the good informative boards now ? I'm not all that great with dispensing advice, but I still need advice from knowledgeable people.....
