As I mentioned a couple weeks ago, we are displeased with our current board host.

We have decided to make our first large-scale purchase of 2005 a brand new web server, who's primary job will be to host rcboards.com.

The server was ordered today and we hope to have it configured and up for testing in the coming few weeks.

Q&A
Q - Will the boards be the same?
A - No. They will be completely different.

Q - Will you lose your username?
A - We have a DBA working on converting the current user data into the new format, so we hope not.

Q - Will we lose all the old posts?
A - See above Q. Hopefully not.

Q - I'm a nerd and want to know all about the new server. What's the deal?
A - Sorry, we're not talking about that.

Q - What board setup will the new site use?
A - Wait and see. Not a big secret, but we are not 100% sure yet.

Glad to hear you are bringing it back in house. I'm just hoping it is powered by penguins.

Does this mean we might get the www.rockcrawler.com side navigation back on the boards??

That would be sweet.

Latest report from PIV:
He's alive and doing well. As you know, family is a big thing for him, as is golf. And he's been busy with both lately. But he's still out there, and rumor is, he still has TWFPM! Now if we can just get him on the trail again.

Hey Puebelo! I've been away a little too. But this is always home. Tires would be nice. Just have to wait and see what the new boards look like.
