Did this magazine go under already? Juct curious as I have not received a copy in many months and then tried the web site today and it is now gone Frown Before I got the last issue I tried to get a refund of my subscription and the editor assured me that the problems they had were corrected and the next issue was ready to ship. I sure could use that money I wasted on the magazine right now Frown

Yep, gone. At least I got three issues. From what I've been able to surmise from Pirate4x4, they had lots of problems.

Not exactly true about being the being completly gone. The owners split up - but one of them who is still there claims there will be a "next" issue. Time will tell.

The other owner is thinking about starting a new mag altogether and as such would honor the old subs if people contact him when the time comes.

This of course is simply being in earshot of things happening.. whether either turns out to be true will be up to them.. so it's really a wait and see thing.

Too bad as I liked the mag...

Iwas wondering. Like Mark, no magazine, and no website. If the bottom line is the owners splitting up, then i can see where there are a few things more im ortant than hte magazine until they both get their lives settled in again. Starting up a new magazine is tough work. I have a friend that tried a mag for women NASCAR fans. They didn't get as far as Xtreme Offroad. Getting sponsors/advertisers and such were very difficult for them. XOR was a great mag, and you sure can't take away the fact that it was done in a top notch manner. High quality paper and photos, well written articles with a slight twisted humor thrown in.
If what Shawn has heard is true, then let's try giving them some support, and help get XOR back in our mailboxes!

I was also wondering the same thing. I purchased the mag thru the RockShop, but haven't heard anything. Mike, what should we do as a next step, I am not saying you to refund us, but I would assume most of us would either like the mag or a refund, is their a contact we need to write to? Any help or input would be appricated. Thanks.

Hi guys, wow how long has it been since caveman posted here? Big Grin Pagen is correct, I am starting a new magazine called CRAWL and it will be out before supercrawl (halloween) of this year. It is 80% trail rigs, more hardcore that just daily drivers, and only 20% pro crawling. Yes, we will be offering free copies to people who paid for XOM, so watch for a press release and the opportunity to sign up for some issues. For the rest, we hope we can count on your support. We had some issues and I had to cut some dead weight, which is gone. Far as I know XOM is dead, CRAWL lives on.... cool? You can email me at tim@crawlmag.com

Hey stranger! Good to see you're still out there. Hated to see XOM go, but put me down for Crawl. I'm still game for a good off-road magazine!

Cool Can't wait to get my copy! Need my new address? Or are you going to honor the old subs still? Keep up the good work.

Can't legally honor the old subscriptions directly, we'd get nailed in court. We had a freebie sign up for a few days, ya must have missed it. I'll see what I can do though, email me your info at caveman@timbercrawler.com

I got my copy today wahoo. Great mag the basic paper quality is very good. I like the none staple put together the text doesn't run into the middle. Great photos and reporting. Ireally liked the tonic section. About the only down thing is to me alot of the captions are pretty difficult to read due the color type versus the background. But Caveman has a winner here.
