Looks good, light weight, holds a winch. Exactly what is expected from a pre-runner bumper.

Do NOT, however, make the mistake of thinking this is a rock crawler bumper that has pre-runner styling. No shackle tabs, hard to access tow hook mounts, only six mounting bolts total, thin wall tubing, and a "skid" (which I didn't use) that is nothing more than a sand shield.

Cool styling and perfect for the average joe who has a winch more for "insurance" than regular use.

Looks good, but that thin wall tubing and only six mounting locations worry's me when yu mention your putting a winch on it. I'd be scared it would rip the bumper right off.

I am concerned about that as well.
I doubt it will rip off, but it may distort the frame tips. I'm thinking of at least adding a rear extension like the factory tow hook mounts have.

That bumper isnt made out of thin walled tubing. it depends on what you consider "thin walled". .120 erw tube is perfect for offroad usage. unless you go to DOM tubing the .120 erw (1/8" thick) tubing is going to be your best bet. Its rugged yet not as heavy as DOM like I said before. Every tube on that bumper is .120 wall. even the kickers. The mounting plate is .250" thick. If you rip that sucker off, either you doing some ridiculously crazy stunt or your frame was extremely weak at the mounting points.

Thanks for the input on the tubing. So far it is holding up fine.

It isn't really a one-time pull I'm worried about, more gradual weakening due to twisting on not enough load points.

On the plus side, I made 10 HARD pulls through mud holes two weeks ago and never saw any sign of deformation or twisting. I think it is "strong enough" for 90% or rigs out there, just not the sort of overkill necessary for a bumper that will get banged into rocks every weekend. That kind of use needs extra reinforcement to prevent gradual failure. Combining this bumper with frame-tip plates like C-rock sells would make it much better for that use.
