Hello all! I'm new to the jeep thing and I have the oppurtunity to trade a 4-wheeler ( '96 Honda 300 EX) for a Red (not important) 95 or 96 XJ 4 door, V-6, 5 speed. The only thing it needs is the exhaust welded back on (broke off) and the reverse lights wired up and maybe a coat of paint ( he just replaced the rear hatch, black, not too worried about that though)and there's no rust. A friend of mine drove and said it drove good, stopped good, etc. This sounds like a good deal to me, but I was wanting to get some suggestions and to hear what are some things to look for (problems). Also was wondering if anyone had any pics of this model w/ or w/out mods.
wow you've foung the only v6 xj built by jeep fyi they are straight sixes, just take it down to your local mech and pay him $75 to do a saftey check he will tell you every little thing thats wrong
THANK YOU AND GOD BLESS!!

If its a 5 speed its common to have the slave cylinder go out. Its an easy fix though...but you have to pull the trans. out.
