Hi
I have cherokee XJ - 4.0l 1989. I made test and no spark.
I checked ignition(+) conected to ICM Connector1A- OK
ground to ICM - Connector 1B - OK
Tach signal Connector1C - OK - I have +12VDC there
I checked also Square wave connector2B. It has 5V when I switch ignition on. I'm not sure what is going on when I'm cranking.
How Can I test it - I want to be sure that ignition coil is demaged or something else.

Thanks in advance

I would check your crank sensor, coil and distributor cap and wires.

I would check the Ignition Control Module and/or the Ignition Coil to determine what is really going on myself!!! Believe me, I had the same problem and U might want to check the ground wire(on the driver side rear-end of your Valve Cover) to your Cherokee too!!! Rockcrawler
