Hi
I have cherokee XJ - 4.0l 1989. I made test and no spark. I checked ignition(+) conected to ICM Connector1A- OK ground to ICM - Connector 1B - OK Tach signal Connector1C - OK - I have +12VDC there I checked also Square wave connector2B. It has 5V when I switch ignition on. I'm not sure what is going on when I'm cranking. How Can I test it - I want to be sure that ignition coil is demaged or something else. Thanks in advance |

I would check your crank sensor, coil and distributor cap and wires.
Toby 4.3 Vortec, 4L60E, NP231, D30 locked, D44 locked and soon to be 4.88's instead of 4.10's, 35" tires on 7" wheels |

I would check the Ignition Control Module and/or the Ignition Coil to determine what is really going on myself!!! Believe me, I had the same problem and U might want to check the ground wire(on the driver side rear-end of your Valve Cover) to your Cherokee too!!!
