If I buy a 3 inch lift kit can I fit 33's on my xj with fender trimming? I've never had a jeep before so I don't know.

Hiya , welcome aboard, the "reccomended lift for 33x12.5's is 5.5-6", with some small amount of trimming, if you lift it 3.5" 31x10.5's will fit with no trimming, I've got 32x9.5's on at 3.5" and am working on what to trim right now, XJ wheel wells are not very big, so to get 33's on with a 3" lift you are going to be doing some serious cutting to make room in the wheel wells for 'em....

3" lift and 33's will not work. 4.5" with plenty of fender trimming works good. Or you could go with a 4.5" lift and 33x10.50's with minor trimming. There are lots of combos that can be done.
a 3" lift is good for 31's, do some trimming and maybe a small spacer and 32's are OK. ------------------------------ 93 YJ, 35" MT/Rs, 5.5" lift, HP D44 front, D44 rear, 4:1 tera low, locked, geared, dented and scarred.06 Ranger 4x4. |

Thanks yall. I guess ill get the 4.5 inch. I'm not concerned about sheetmetal, its just extra weight and something else to get smashed to me.
