I recently bought a 92 cherokee, and have been fixing it up (still need a 4.0 engine... rod knock = bad)

Anyways, my blower motor keeps blowing its fuse. Before I remove half the engine compartment to get to the motor, I decided to trace some wires. I think I got sidetracked, as I found several cut wires under the passenger side dash.

My questions are a) whats the big steel box mounted behind the lower dash skirt? and b) what is the relay that is mounted under the glove box? its got 6 wires (three of which are green, white, and gray- they'd been cut)

I reconnected the wires, and the car didn't do anything differently... maybe part of the keyless entry?

Any help y'all can give would be great.

I am still looking for a 4.0 engine in or around SC, as i think mine will put a piston through the hood within about 5000 miles (at least I THINK it's rod knock)
