As you can see by my sig I'm a CJ guy. However I recently acquired an XJ that I was going to pull the motor out of built it and place into the CJ. Then my wife seen it and decided she would like to build it. Big Grin The XJ will be getting my 35's as I'm going 38's. The plans are bushwacker cutout flares, 35x12.5 ssr's, Poison Spyder SYE, Possibly a 60 in the rear w/HP44 front, 4.56 gears. Still debating on lockers. Exo cage. Now for my question how much lift and who makes the best lift for these. Thanks

86' CJ7, 258,T18,D44's 4.56 f/r, Detroit front, Warn shafts, CTM joints, rear spool, 4wheel disc, SOA w/ wagoneer springs, custom shackle reversal, 38"tsl, Allied Beadlocks,8274-50 Warn, Custom 6 point cage, custom bumpers, and still building.

The tallest lift RE makes is the 5.5" will this be tall enough for 35x12.50 SSR's with a bit of fender trimming? And how much trimming? I know Skyjacker makes an 8" but very pricey.
P.S. bluexj89 Your hyperlink don't link.

I really couldn't answer your question as my lift is so hybird it isn't funny. But you could add ACOS and a shakle for a few hundred more and you should beable to fit those 35s Also look over at DPG he has done this on a 97 XJ and now is offering hybird RE kits to do what you are looking for Tell him Mark sent you and he will most likely mark the prices up for you.
