Hi Folks...

I'm a step away from picking up a new xterra w/ the off road option, and I'd appreciate some opinions from a veteran or two.

As a photographer, my mail goal is getting to somewhat hard to reach places, so I'm not terribly concerned with the hardcore stuff (although it does look like a good time ). Just getting past a rough dirt/gravel road with out popping tires or shearing my oil pan, really.

I recently went to Death Valley in a 2wd Ford Explorer, and left with the alignment shot and a blown tire from some light off roading

Ya think this truck a good place to start?

i work on nissans every day. i live in a romote area and see a lot pathfinders and xteras that offroad. i would say absultly yes to your question. ether that or a pathfinder.
