spent the whole Turkey Day week in Johnson Valley again and had a blast like last year.
We ran a whole bunch of new (to me) trails.
Since I did the last repairs/upgrades on Sunday morning, I didn't make it out there till Monday afternoon.
So the trails started on Tuesday for me and we ran the following ones during the week:
Tuesday: Hell's Gate and Sunbonnet Pass
Wednesday: Outer Limits
Thursday: Clawhammer (so we would be back in time to fry the turkey Wink)
Friday: Wrecking Ball
Saturday: Lower and Upper Big Johnson
Sunday: Aftershock

Here's one picture:
Jeep on Outer Limits

Once I've got time, I'll upload some more pix to my website Rockcrawler

Sweet!! I almost made it out there on that same weekend however my Jeep ended up not being ready (still not) Would have been nice to meet you. My uncle was out there in his white XJ... Long arm kit, 35" MT/R's, rhino lined from the door handles down, maybe you saw him? They had a LONG day on Sledge, apperantly 3 of the 5 Jeeps that went with them dident know what they were getting into and were too inexperanced for the trail. Lots of broket parts later they turned around and went back home. Roll Eyes

93 YJ, 35" MT/Rs, 5.5" lift, HP D44 front, D44 rear, 4:1 tera low, locked, geared, dented and scarred.

this time I didn't run Sledge, since I was still working on the last minute stuff to get my Heep ready. So I got in on Monday afternoon, after they had finished Sledge.
Strangely enough we didn't run into any other rigs on the trails, except for a couple of buggies that went past us when we were fixing some trail carnage on a Rubi 44 Smile

BTW: some of the best pix are not on the website yet -> we ran Upper Big Johnson with a couple of rigs and that was a blast to say the least Big GrinBig GrinBig Grin

The Hammers ain't exactly trails to 'learn' stuff Wink
They've earned their names for a reason Big Grin Rockcrawler

We didn't have too many problems, except for a buddy's buggy on which the tranny separated from the Xcase Eek
All the other carnage could be fixed on the trails (valve stems, shock mounts, Rubi 44 axle shaft, tire plugs and some other small stuff) Smile
