Okay, I was daydreaming today after reading the story on the new '07 Wrangler. I would like to know how it truely compares to the competition...

I have an idea. Why doesn't RockCrawler do a vehicle offroad comparison between the "real" offroaders out there. Take them someplace like the Rubicon Trail and Lk Tahoe like the Press intro for the new Wrangler.

Here are the "contendors" for your hard earned $$.
- '07 Wrangler Rubicon (of course)
- '03-06 Wrangler Rubicon
- Hummer H1 (if you can get one)
- Hummer H2
- Hummer H3
- Land Rover LR3
- Land Rover Defender (if you can get one)
- Toyota FJ Cruiser
- Any others?

Do things like: Rock traversing, Water fording, on road driving, etc.

What does everyone think of this idea?

'03 WJ V8 Silver Laredo with Kevin's 2.5" lift w/ bump stop extensions, Bilstein Shocks, Kevin's Sliderz, tow hooks and underside skids. Aussie Locker is next... (I no longer have the '03 Rubicon but am doing my best to outfit my WJ).

The real competition is you and the terrain.

What good would it do if the Hummer won? Very few can afford it.

Jeeps rock. Feck the rest!
