Well what we have here is a 1972 IH Scout2 with a 1976 Pontiac Astre GT body on it.
I picked the car partly for the "Ive never seen one of those" effect. Also for the very light weight of the body making my center of gravity lower on the vehicle. Everything has been modded and restored except for the original 304 v8 Scout engine. I havent decided if I want to go the full distance and drop a monster under the hood or if I want to wreck it and collect the insurance! Its fun to take out in the mud, rocks and snow, but it gets way too much attention and could never be used for an everyday runner due to its size and gas prices. It uses the Astre's 12 gallon gas tank so if I drive it to a mudrun Im stopping frequently for gas... |
