Thinking of a ls1 or an l33 in an 06 tj.
I need info. on the electrical side of the install( gauges and rpm). Just can't seem to find much on the computer reprograming part.
Any one know of any web or anything that can help me?

Ah man. LS motors are nice, but have you thought about doing a HEMI?

As for programming, have you looked into Painless Performance? They can make most late model engines run using one of their harness.

Yea but there does not seem to be as much info on the hemi conversion as the chevy. Parts... adapters to transfercase... Wireing might not be as big of a deal though.
I called the guys at Novac and they did not seem to be very... keen on the chevy swap, he said that there was A/C and wireing problems.
Still sounds like a cool swap either way though.

Thanks for the link.

NP,

By the way, I found this company that works with HEMI Jeep conversion called Burnsville Off-Road (BOR)

I need some sleep before posting too much info, but..

I 2nd the hemi idea.

You can get the brackets from Tera and AEV.. AEV has complete kits now. (www.aev-conversions.com).

If you can find a PCI bus hemi (Dodge Ram, not Durango) they should drop into a TJ with very little effort.

We've been running one in our shop M725 for about a year now. They are a nice, light, compact, efficient drivetrain.
