Okay after a long and tedious research I've boiled my selection down to three shocks:
RE Monotube Old Man Emu Bilstein So which to choose for comfort. I ride unmaintained gravel roads, over mountains, atv trails, tundra etc. Thoughts and experiance please. |

I have RE mono's, they're OK but starting to get worn out after 3 years of abuse. I researched OME's because everybody that runs their stuff seems to love it. I found that OME's have 3" less travel front and 2" less in the rear compared to my RE's for my RE 4.5" SF lift. I decided I didn't want to lose that much travel. For stock or near stock the OME's would probably be best, for lifted and modded I'd go with the Bilstein, that's what I'll be getting next.
Let us know your setup, makes it easier to answer questions. HTH, Mark To boldly go where we're too stupid to know any better. "Use your hammer, not your mouth, jackass!" Thanks for the input. Here's my set-up: I just love to go where no man has gone before Rock climbing, in marshes, atv trails, mud, tundra etc. |
