I have a 96 jeep grand cherokee limited and I am wanting to lift it, I went to tarhell 4x4 and I was told that I could not due to my quadratec all time 4 wheel drive, i would have constant vibrations and a over all bad ride in my jeep. I have found a lift and I was wondering if i were to put a transer case drop kit would that solve my probelm?

depends on the size tires you want to run and how much sheetmetal you wouldn't mind taking away I only have a 2" bb on mine , but then and again -> it's a pavement pounder with only an occasional off road/dirt road adventure
i was lookin at kevins off-road and i was readin up on his grand and on how his performed... then i talked to him.. he said witht he 7 in lift he was fine took a 1300 miles road trip to moab and road out there and then came back on it and had no problems whatsoever.. i am wonderin of i should go with the 7 or maybe a 4.5 inch lift with 33's?
I think the 4.5 kit looks great with 33's. U need to do a little trimming to get 12.50's on there. Make sure you use a 15x8 with 4.5 backspacing, and they will fit fine.

Ive seen people get away with running the 4.5 with the 249, it is basically trial and error. I rand 5.5 inches of lift on mine with a 1inch tcase drop, and i ddint even need a sye. You can always just get a 242 out of a 6cyl grand, that might be a little easier swap.
