With 8 inches of lift and running 35"s on that stock dana 30, all the weaknesses will be exposed. Upgrade your bearings with some timken of yukon(if they are still around) or upgrade to a stronger axle like a dana 44 then you wont have to worry much about other problems that may occur.

Thx for the reply i have a super 30 kit in the front so it is a little stronger then stock but still could be better i agree. upgrading isn't an option right now. i know others are running similar set up with out issue. at this time I'm looking for the cheapest fix possible.

Timkin is very well respected bearing company, and usually the cheapest hubs I've found are at Autozone...and they sell Timkin. TJ Dana 44 uses the same hubs as Dana 30, so just slapping in a 44 is not gonna upgrade the hubs The trick is to find what's causing the rapid wear in the first place. What's your wheeling style, and what type of trails? Hammer down in mud could cause more abuse then rock crawling for example.

"The trick is to find what's causing the rapid wear in the first place" I couldn't agree more, that's why I was hoping someone had been through this already.

My driving style is very easy going and I try to stay out of mud if I can. I like the rocky stuff. This why I don't understand I don't beat on equipment at all.

Thx
