Congrats Chuck! What did you pay $380 for? The kit alone or with electronics? I payed $220 shipped for my kit. Can't wait to see pics on the other boards. I still have some work to get done on my NB, that will keep me busy until my ax-10 comes.

I ordered what I thought was a radio and receiver...but only a receiver showed up!!! I was hoping to buy the kit plus upgraded stuff. But, w/out the radio I needed to get going, I just had to buy the RTR kit so I could get the stuff in one order. The radio is a futabo(pretty nice), but I ordered some sweet top gun alum. beadlock wheels today. I have had a blast it the last 2 days with axial!! I even broke the rear drive shaft. Guess i will be buying some upgrades for that now. The torque is unreal!!!Thanks for the suggestions on keeping the NB. The changes I made it are awesome...the flex is incredible...just wish they would offer upgrades for those NB's from the factory.Chuck

none taken "not a toy"...it's just another learning curve. This this has awesome gearing for the 2.2 tires. You can bind it up and get on the gas and watch parts fly. That is what i did by mistake. But, I was able to go down to hobbytown and replace them with trassax beefer shafts for $5. Got some new billet alum wheels coming...I'll post up some pics for yall later when they get in,Chuck

yes chuck they are a very good crawler i would love one but the price is a bit to steep for my wallet...

well, it's not a NB, so I thought this would be the safest place to host it just so yall can see it. been a little behind on the pics. Here are some pics of the build(nothing new) and just got my MSD's TopGun's in today...wow these are awesome. I also got the HPI bronco body, gonna paint this weekend. Tomorrow I will shop hobbytown for a new servo(high torque)...these new wheels are killing the stock servo. Thanks,Chuck

well done chuck a very good choice these ax10 looks cool as hell chuck i just need to point this out .the differential lockers on the ax10 are very weak best to replace them before they go i have put the link above with the replacment part... they are much stronger other than that you got yourself a good crawler thanks.

will do N.A.T....I saw another style that looks like an iron cross...there is even a guy building some out of steel with the carrier built into the design...just take the ring and bolt to the locker(done) Not sure which one I will go with..thanks again,Chuck

ok chuck its up to you wich one you go for but the type i have pointed out are a direct replacment.and are made of stainless steel..these have been tested under exstreme conditions. and are said to be bullet proof ..thanks chuck . .....

Unless you are entering competions, the stock locker works fine. I have over 100 hours of crawling on my stockers and haven't had an issue. The problem is that that there is slop where the axles slip into the diff., which results slop at the tire and cause a lag in response. In competion this can be an issue, but for everyday crawling they are fine. Save the money and make other upgrades that will make it crawl better Axial Comp Build.

i understand mutiscale racer, but the ax10 is a comp ready crawler .so it only makes sense to replace this part ,as it is a weak link .it also depends how hard you run your crawler, it is a known fact that the diff lockers are weak on this model . thanks
