Yes, it actually appears to be FET Q15 that has gone short circuit .. put in a length of jumper lead (well. not quite) for the fuse & it was that one that started cooking

but now i'm getting into unexplored territory .. surely if the board (well FET anyway, which I cant see myself replacing) has gone I cant fit a ESC (whatever that stands for, but it seems to be a separate controlled power suply to the motor but then, whats a BEC I read about. than can fit some where in the circuit ..

not being a RC enthusiast (apologies to all my readers .. I have watched, entralled at RC aircraft flying, but don't want to do it myself) I think my best bet may be try to find a replacement board and hope that nothing else is failing so so that the Gson can play with it.

hi benp i understand your problem. but you need to remove the stock electronics to go hobby grade and to be honest the stock electronics are not worth having .bad design. to much volatage for them to cope with .

Do you still have this car and this problem?

Are you in USA?

I have now one of these 1:6 2 wheel drive newbrights.
I have not tested the circuit board. I would be happy to give it to you as I will have no use for it.

You can PM me if you are interested. If it has any issues, you can just steal parts and test with this one.

It is out of the new bright 1:6 2wd hummer but I would guess it would be the same.

let me know

Fixed it for you Big Grin
Republic of Ireland Is EU..
NoW who the heck let that happen?

Thats some mest up stuff..

I think Thats probably why I like living in Rhode Island New England.

We have never been "politically correct"
We were not in the war of 1812.
Were the first to declare independence from Great Britain (May 4th 1776--Not July 4th 1976) and the last to ratify the constitution. We are still not written in it actually.
Only resin we did so, was we were going to get taxed as a foreign nation. Big Grin
