Here's a puzzler for you. I recently picked up a 1978 F150 Pickup 4wd. First 4 of the VIN is F15H, which normally would indicated 2wd, but it is in fact 4wd. I double checked the frame VIN to the Cab VIN and they match. Everything under the bottom of this truck looks factory stock. I belive the 2wd drive version of this truck had twin I Beam axles. Is that cross member bolted in or welded in? Because I could swear that it is welded in. Did the factory screw up when the VIN'd this truck or did somebody get real fancy and neat and make a 4wd drive truck out of a 2wd drive?
I know that someone in the past has played a little wit this truck, because it's got a 460 in place of the 351M. (MORE POWER!!)
