Hey ya'll I've got a '93 f150 5.0L auto with 242,000 original miles on it. A buddy of mine has an early 90's 5.0L out of a mustang. Does anyone know if the GT motor will bolt right into my truck? I'd like to keep the GT motor on hand in case my 5.0L goes out. Thanks!

Long Block will swap right over. You might need to be watchful for installing a pilot bearing if yours is a stick shift. The Exhaust manifolds are most likely gonna be different, and the truck use a taller intake plenum so that will have to swap over too. The only think that might cause problems is that some 302's (and especially the HO motors) had a different camshaft so the firing order is different but that is trivial.

Thanks for the tips. If I can find a 351, I'll probably just pop that in since I'll have to do the swap anyway once my current motor dies. I wouldn't mind having a Mustang 5.0L in my old truck though, I would be alot more fun!
