Hi Guys. I recently bought a 86 Samurai. I have seen large amounts of oil around the valve cover area and have since replaced the gasket. The problem is better but not complete. There seems to still be a leak while running somewhere on the rear of the engine by the distributor. Oil is on the top of Tranny bell but doesnt seep when turned off! Any help? I have heard of Distributor O rings failing but there is no oil by the ajustment bolt. Is there a gasket that seals the Dist. case to the head? Thanks for any help in advance Confused Sammy out!

Mark the distributor position then remove. See the large o-ring? Replace it. Those dry up and leak oil like a siv.

Just be careful not to pinch the o-ring when you slide the disty back in. BTDT... Roll Eyes
