Good news, bad news - there has been a consent decree prompted by Defenders of Wildlife in operation at the seashore that has blocked most of the best places to drive on the beach to fish. See : http://www.islandfreepress.org/index.html for details. There is a bill in the US Senate to counter this problem #3113 and in the House #6233. Please contact your state representatives to further the progress of these bills to save ORV driving on the Outer Banks of NC, and help out the islanders who depend of the tourists it brings.
